Now, temple for Jayalalithaa

A diehard AIADMK functionary in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu is constructing a temple consecrated to late chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
The temple named Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Aalayam will have Jayalalithaa’s 1.5 ft bronze statue in the sanctum sanctorum, M Swaminathan, the owner of the temple, said on Sunday.
“The statue will be ready in a couple of weeks,” he added. He said a noted election slogan used by the former chief minister during the poll campaign Makkalal naan, makkalukkaka naan (I am of the people and I am for the people) has been encrypted on the temple wall.
