EC clears 'Mann ki Baat'

The Election Commission (EC) on Saturday gave its approval for the broadcast of the next edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme.This Sunday, the focus of Modi’s address will be the Class X and XII board examinations.
NITI Ayog, MoD
The commission has expressed its concerns over certain recent decisions taken by NITI Ayog, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Finance, pointing out that those might disturb the level playing field ahead in five poll-bound States.
The EC has written to the Cabinet Secretary asking him to ensure strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and to see that all relevant matters of the Centre are referred to it before decisions are taken.
