With the arrest of a former Indian Air Force employee, the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Tuesday claimed to have busted another alleged espionage network run by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the country.
Ranjeet, formerly posted as a leading aircraftman in Punjab, was dismissed by the IAF after they received inputs about his alleged involvement in leaking information earlier this month, it is learnt.
Ranjeet, who hails from Kerala, was arrested at Bhatinda, Punjab.
Like the earlier network, the one unearthed now also leaked crucial security deployment in border areas but the two were not linked, said the police.
The earlier case opened with the arrest of Kafaitullah Khan alias Master Raja and Abdul Rasheed. Both are residents of Jammu and Kashmir, who cultivated sources in the Army and BSF (where Rasheed is posted as a head constable). They started passing on information to PIO through e-mails, WhatsApp and Viber.
